MOVAE was born from the desire of two friends to bring together their perspectives and experiences around a shared passion for design and creation.
The project is rooted in a reflection on contemporary furniture, conceived as a space of freedom: adaptable, modular, and able to integrate into today’s ways of living while carrying a strong aesthetic vision.
MOVAE explores an approach to furniture based on modularity, evolving uses, and the possibility of composing objects over time, in dialogue with spaces and the people who inhabit them.
Clovis Rétif is a designer and visual artist. His work sits at the intersection of art, design and creative direction. Within MOVAE, he carries the creative vision, designs the forms and structures the aesthetic universe of the project.
Hugo Travaux is a product and industrial designer. He brings technical expertise and a precise attention to form. At MOVAE, he puts his know-how at the service of the coherence, accuracy and feasibility of the modules.
